As the Principal of Rise Consulting, Annie focuses on creating and contributing to the development and implementation of meaningful Indigenous inclusion strategies with organizations and Indigenous communities in the energy industry in Canada.

With a background in economic development, marketing, communications and research, prior to the creation of Rise Consulting, Annie was employed with Calgary Economic Development. With a passion for Indigenous rights in Canada, a strong business acumen and an understanding of regulatory and risk management, Annie applies her unique skill set into her work with Rise Consulting and its clients as they seek to understand the values and interests of Indigenous communities and establish and build meaningful, inclusive relationships and partnerships.

Annie received an MBA from the University of Calgary in 2013 where she gained depth to her business and management skills, developed her leadership skills and enhanced her cognitive and strategic thinking skills to assist in managing projects with unprecedented levels of complexity, uncertainty and competition.

When not in the office, Annie enjoys spending time with her family in the mountains – trail running, mountain biking, road biking and skiing.

Annie is proud to volunteer with the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee and be a member of the Circle for Aboriginal Relations.
